Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Renato Damiao (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Silvia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silvia lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Damiao misses with a takedown attempt

and Silvia counters with a single leg into guard. Damiao didn't expect that.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Damiao is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Silvia defends well.

Silvia gets to his feet. Damiao looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Silvia shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Damiao as he jumps to the side.

Silvia is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Damiao has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Silvia is looking to defend but Damiao has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Silvia! Damiao pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Silvia taps out and this one is all over!
