PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lyoto Machida (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Castiel Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Silva has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Castiel Silva will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Machida lands a big head kick that sends Silva tumbling to the mat! Machida takes a step backwards and waves Silva back to his feet - he wants the finish!

It looks like Castiel Silva has been cut.
Silva looks to land a combination but Machida avoids it well.
Machida tries to close the distance and clinch but Silva swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Silva avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Machida instigates a clinch.
Machida using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Silva has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

Machida manages to break the clinch.
Machida is looking to clinch but Silva is avoiding it.
Machida fails in his attempt to clinch.

Machida throws a head kick but Silva moves out of range.
Machida connects with a high kick.

Silva is rocked!
Machida looks for a left high kick but can't connect. Machida backs up to catch a breather... no he lunges forward with a huge flying knee that smacks Silva's temple! It sends Silva violently to the canvas! The crowd goes nuts as Machida celebrates and the doctors try to help Silva!
