Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kron Kenny (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mario Taormina (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Kron Kenny has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Kron Kenny seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kenny misses with a takedown

and Taormina counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Taormina.
Kenny is trying to break the clinch but Taormina is controlling him.
Kenny misses with a hook to the ribs.

Taormina lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Taormina lands a nice short elbow.

Kenny is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Taormina scores with a couple of nice shots.
Taormina really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kenny. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Taormina is looking to take a break and control but Kenny is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Kenny is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Taormina pulls his head out easily.
Taormina lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Taormina connects with a nice short shot to Kenny's temple.

Kenny has hold of Taormina's hands but Taormina slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Nice strikes from Taormina there.
Kenny tries to roll over but Taormina keeps him under control.
Kenny slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Taormina lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

Kenny is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Taormina defends well.
Taormina lands a couple of elbows.

Kenny is working an open guard so Taormina takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Taormina blocks a couple of punches on the inside.

Taormina gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Kenny regains guard.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Kenny is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Taormina is in close to Kenny's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Taormina cracks Kenny with a solid left hand.

Kenny is looking for a triangle but Taormina pushes his legs off easily.

Taormina got a little sloppy there for a moment and Kenny has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Taormina has managed to get both his arms back between Kenny's legs - danger averted.
Kenny is breathing heavily.

Kenny escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Taormina gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Taormina distracts Kenny with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

Taormina stands up from Kenny's guard - Taormina perhaps looking for a knockout.
Kenny shoots and misses
and Taormina counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kron Kenny. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Taormina throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Kenny doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Taormina counters with a series of strikes that practically lifts Kenny off his feet! He tumbles backwards, his head bouncing off the mat - Taormina follows up with more strikes before the ref can step in but Kenny was out before he hit the floor.
