The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Gerich moves into the clinch.
Olson fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Gerich breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Bariga Gerich seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Olson gets a clinch.
Olson is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Olson wants to pass the guard but Gerich is keeping the position.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Olson blocks a head kick by Gerich.

Olson is rocked!
Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Gerich! Olson is out on his feet! Gerich rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Olson is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Olson is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.
