The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Waste drives through with a takedown into Sanas's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Waste throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Sanas tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Waste is in Sanas's guard.

Waste stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Sanas swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Sanas lands a nice shot that snaps Waste's head back.
Waste throws a series of punches but Sanas avoids them all with ease.

Waste shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Sanas manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Horrible takedown by Waste or perhaps it was just good defense by Sanas which made him look bad.

and Waste counters with a crisp one two that drops Sanas! Waste thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Sanas to his feet! Sanas is in big trouble!
Complete Waste is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Sanas lands with a nice body punch.
Waste feints a kick and comes over the top with a right hand, followed by a left hook - both land, sending Sanas crashing to the mat! This one is all over!
