Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Glover Teixeira (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brandon Tran (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tran is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by The Rising Fighting Spirit. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Lou da Vinci and Bruno Lombardi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown by Tran or perhaps it was just good defense by Teixeira which made him look bad.
Tran has Teixeira up against the cage in a clinch.
Teixeira is trying to force a seperation but Tran has the dominant position.
Tran wants a takedown.
Teixeira is pressed up against the cage. Tran has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Teixeira down to the mat. Teixeira avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Glover Teixeira has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Brandon Tran.
Teixeira tries to bum rush Tran with a series of wild strikes but Tran uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Teixeira tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Tran tries to close the distance and clinch up but Teixeira swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Tran leaves Teixeira with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Tran drops down looking for an ankle pick but Teixeira pulls his leg out and moves away.

Tran is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Teixeira gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Tran jumps guard but Teixeira stands there with Tran around his waist. Tran gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

and Teixeira counters with a series of strikes that sends Tran to the canvas! Teixeira follows down into guard, looking to finish the fight!

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Teixeira stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Tran swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Teixeira has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

We're going to have a standup here because Glover Teixeira wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Teixeira throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Tran's waist but Tran gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Teixeira off to one side.
Teixeira moves into the clinch.
Teixeira pushes off an throws an elbow but Tran leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.
Tran drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Glover Teixeira seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Tran has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Teixeira is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.
Teixeira will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Tran up against the cage.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Teixeira is looking to control Tran but Tran is wriggling around and keeping busy.
Teixeira is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Tran defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.

Teixeira throws a leg kick but Tran sees it coming and moves out of range.
