Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Sebastian Monsson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sascha Kroener (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Monsson comes to the cage accompanied by Tenacious D - Master Exploder. Kroener has chosen Eisblume - Eisblumen as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sebastian Monsson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sascha Kroener!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Cecil Peabody and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Monsson is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Monsson tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Monsson tries to clinch but Kroener is having none of it.
Kroener steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Monsson.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Monsson tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Monsson drops down looking for an ankle pick but Kroener pulls his leg out and moves away.

Kroener seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Let's hope that Kroener has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.

Kroener lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Kroener.

Sascha Kroener showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

and Kroener counters with a shoot takedown. Monsson fights it but they end up in guard.

Monsson isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Kroener stacks Monsson on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Kroener!

Kroener stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Monsson swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Monsson bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Kroener's guard.

Kroener lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Monsson!

Monsson is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Kroener defends it well.
Kroener is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Monsson's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Monsson's back!

Well Kroener has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
