The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Waigo shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Shimura but Shimura pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Shimura drives through and clinches with Waigo against the cage.
Waigo wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

It looks like Daddy Waigo has been cut.
Shimura throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Waigo blocks it with crossed arms.
Shimura keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Waigo's efforts to push away.
Shimura prevents Waigo from breaking the clinch.

Waigo breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Shimura tries to close the distance and clinch but Waigo swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Waigo avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Waigo wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
A right-left combo lands from Waigo.
Shimura tries to close the distance and clinch up but Waigo swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Waigo gets tackled into the cage by Shimura. Shimura maintains the clinch.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Shimura takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Shimura jumps guard but Waigo stands there with Shimura around his waist. Shimura gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

and Waigo counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Waigo connects with a good right hand that stumbles Shimura. Shimura circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

Waigo drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Waigo connects with a couple of short punches.

Waigo gets to his feet. Shimura looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Waigo moves in looking to clinch but Shimura pushes him off.
Shimura throws a right hand that misses
and Waigo counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Shimura takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Shimura doesn't manage to clinch there - Waigo circles away.

Waigo shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Waigo was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Waigo is working close to his opponent, looking to work a submission by the looks of things. Oh, he's managed to get a guillotine from mount as his opponent reached up! That looks tiiiiight! Will he tap? YES, he's tapped! Impressive submission by Waigo!
