Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Bobby Sands (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Great Cornholio (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Great Cornholio is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Bobby Sands!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Great Cornholio!
The judges for this bout are , Don Winkell and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sands lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Sands.


It looks like Great Cornholio has been cut.

Cornholio closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Sands to the mat! Sands manages to get full guard.
Cornholio lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Cornholio postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Cornholio accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Sands is working an open guard so Cornholio takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Sands enables Cornholio to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Sands manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Sands's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Cornholio closes the distance and clinches up with Sands, looking for a takedown. Cornholio pushes Sands against the cage but Sands circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Cornholio ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Cornholio lands a nice hook to Sands's body. Sands takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Sands tries to land a front kick but Cornholio steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

Sands bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Sands lands some shots froms side control.
Cornholio is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Cornholio makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Cornholio.

Cornholio manages to escape and get back to his feet.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Cornholio stalks Sands and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Sands's face. Sands staggers backwards, shaken.

Cornholio throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Sands looks to throw the jab but Cornholio is out of range.

A lazy left from Sands finds it's target.
Sands keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Cornholio moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

Sands shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Cornholio throws a half hearted mid kick.
Sands sizes up Cornholio with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.

Cornholio working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Sands has hold of Cornholio's hands but Cornholio slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Cornholio looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Sands wants to control but Cornholio is keeping busy.

Sands tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Cornholio manages to move to mount!

Cornholio has hold of Sands's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Sands manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Sands bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

Cornholio escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Sands gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Cornholio has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Sands can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Cornholio utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Cornholio has his foot on Sands's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Sands works his way back into a safe position though.

Cornholio pushes a forearm under Sands's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Sands is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
