Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jin Kong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tug Speedman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tug Speedman has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Jin Kong's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jin Kong!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Tug Speedman!
The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Patrick Alders and Paul Aken.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Speedman defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Kong.
Kong shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Kong tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Kong takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Speedman throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Kong fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jin Kong. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Kong fails in his attempt to clinch.
Speedman throws a hook but Kong avoids it easily.

Kong clinches.
Kong keeps control of Speedman as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Kong stalling in the clinch.

Speedman has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Kong regains guard immediately.

Kong looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Speedman passes into half guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Kong has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Speedman is working away from the top position though.

Speedman works his foot free and advances to mount.

Kong wants to hold on but Speedman pushes him away.
Speedman sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Kong tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Kong holds on to Speedman as tight as he can, avoiding damage.
Speedman controlling the pace for now.
Kong regains half guard.
Kong wants to sweep but Speedman has passed to side control!

Speedman decides to stand up, so the ref orders Kong to his feet.

A left lands for Speedman.
Speedman throws a sloppy body shot

and Kong moves into the clinch.
Kong tries to break the clinch but Speedman is controlling the position.
Kong misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Speedman.

Kong tries to break free but Speedman pushes him back against the cage.
Speedman tries for a takedown but Kong manages to get underhooks.
Kong tries to circle away but Speedman has him pinned against the cage.
Kong has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Speedman is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Speedman lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Kong.
Kong drops down looking for an ankle pick but Speedman pulls his leg out and moves away.
Speedman swings widly with a right hand

and Kong counters with a single leg into guard. Speedman didn't expect that.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Speedman pulls Kong in to control the position.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Speedman can do anything to dispel that myth.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Speedman wants to sweep here but Kong controlling him for the moment.

Kong drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Speedman manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Kong has Speedman in his guard.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Kong will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Speedman controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Speedman drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Kong dives on top into guard.
Speedman keeping moving, preventing Kong from controlling successfully.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Tug Speedman will probably get the nod.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!


Speedman throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Speedman circles away from the clinch attempt.
Speedman lands a jab to the head.
Speedman thows a body shot but no joy.
Kong shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Speedman pinned against the cage. Speedman gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Kong uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Speedman.
Speedman throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Kong stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
A slow jab from Speedman misses its intended target.
Speedman misses with an uppercut
and Kong counters with a nice uppercut.
Kong fails to land the takedown.
Kong walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

Kong shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Speedman defends it nicely.

and Kong connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Speedman dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage.

Kong pulls guard successfully.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Kong is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Speedman stands and steps away. Kong gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Kong closes the distance and clinches up with Speedman, looking for a takedown. Kong pushes Speedman against the cage but Speedman circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Speedman just misses with a punch to the body.
Speedman scores with a jab to the body.
A looping hook to the body misses from Speedman. Kong does a little dance to reset his feet.

Speedman fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Kong is defended easily by Speedman.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Kong.
Speedman lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Speedman ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Kong moves away.
Speedman scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Kong throws a shot from downtown. Speedman moves away and avoids it.
Kong misses with a kick to the body.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tug Speedman showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! And we move into the final round!



Kong drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Speedman wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!

Horrible takedown by Kong or perhaps it was just good defense by Speedman which made him look bad.

Speedman clobbers Kong with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Kong on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Kong dives in and grabs Speedman's left leg, looking for a takedown. Speedman pushes down on Kong's head and hops out.
Kong has a takedown stuffed.

Speedman scores with a hook to the body. Kong takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Kong drops his hands momentarily and Speedman takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

Speedman scores with a shot to the body.
Oh Kong is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Kong takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Speedman cracks Kong with a hook to the temple - Kong is on wobbly legs here! Speedman swarms him with hook after hook, landing with each one! Kong falls to the canvas face first and the referee dives in to stop the fight! Speedman wins by TKO!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:27 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Tug Speedman!
