Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Krk Mrd (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jason Hardwick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hardwick comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Elephant Man - Pon Di River kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! This should be fireworks!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mrd tries for a takedown but Hardwick circles away easily
and Hardwick counters with a lovely straight right hand!
A cross from Hardwick lands.
Mrd drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Mrd shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Hardwick makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Hardwick swings for the body but Mrd moves out of range.
Hardwick looks to score with a jab to the body but Mrd is just out of range.
Mrd misses with a double jab
and Hardwick counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Mrd gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Hardwick.
Mrd misses with a takedown
and Hardwick counters with a left to the body.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Krk Mrd. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Hardwick fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Mrd manages to avoid it.
Hardwick misses with a looping right.
The fight stays on the outside here - Mrd looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Mrd shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Mrd takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Mrd has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Hardwick.
Hardwick throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Hardwick scores with a one two! Mrd had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Hardwick walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Mrd checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

letting Hardwick counter with a right hand.
Mrd shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Hardwick counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Mrd thinking.

Mrd tries to clinch but Hardwick is having none of it.
Hardwick changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
This has been an exciting period of action!

and Hardwick counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

and Hardwick counters with a nice uppercut.
Mrd is rocked!
Jason Hardwick is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

and Hardwick counters with a deadly accurate combination that rocks Mrd badly! He tries to strike back but Hardwick puts an end to that with another precision combo that knocks Mrd out cold! Oh man, Mrd will never hear the end of this one!
