Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Horse Spudd (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jerry Harmon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Horse Spudd!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jerry Harmon!
The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Alyssa Summers and Anthony Taglia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Spudd moves to clinch but Harmon breaks away

and Harmon counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Spudd!
Harmon looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Spudd tries to lock up and control but Harmon gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Spudd tries to reverse the position but Harmon maintains control.
Harmon has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Harmon can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Spudd is looking to escape.
Spudd is looking to improve his position but Harmon isn't that keen on the idea.
Spudd could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Spudd tries to hold on but Harmon pushes him away.

Spudd holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Harmon tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.

Spudd bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

Spudd drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Spudd jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Harmon has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Spudd can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Horse Spudd has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.

Harmon misses with a hook to the ribs.
Harmon drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Spudd gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Spudd has hold of one of Harmon's legs. Harmon is fighting the takedown attempt but Spudd gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.

The fight stays on the outside here - Spudd looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Spudd tries to clinch up but Harmon circles away and keeps his distance.
Spudd stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

Horse Spudd overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Spudd has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

Spudd is trying to keep Harmon in close.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Spudd lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Harmon!

Spudd sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Harmon is desperately trying to improve his position but Spudd has a good base and remains in mount.

Spudd stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing.

Spudd closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Harmon did well to prevent Spudd getting side control.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Spudd is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Harmon!

Horse Spudd dominated that second round.
That's time! Spudd's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!


Spudd misses with a body kick.
Harmon shoots in for a takedown but Spudd shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Spudd tries to close the distance and clinch up but Harmon swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Harmon slips a jab and a cross from Spudd.

Spudd has Harmon pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Harmon manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Harmon is pressed up against the cage. Spudd has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Harmon down to the mat. Harmon avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Horse Spudd. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Spudd dives in and grabs Harmon's left leg, looking for a takedown. Harmon pushes down on Spudd's head and hops out.
Harmon throws a series of punches but Spudd avoids them all with ease.

Spudd has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Harmon avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Harmon drops down looking for an ankle pick but Spudd pulls his leg out and moves away.

Harmon is in all sorts of trouble here.
Spudd breaks from Harmon's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Harmon is squirming around, avoiding Spudd's attempts to control the action.

The referee warns Harmon that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Spudd moves to take his opponent's back.

Spudd is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Harmon is defending well though. Spudd let's go of the attempt for now.
Harmon tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!
Harmon wants to get back to his feet.

Spudd has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Harmon's face.
Spudd is looking to work his way around to Harmon's back. He needs to be careful though, as he's in danger of losing this dominant position.
Harmon tries to lock up and control but Spudd gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Horse Spudd is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Jerry Harmon has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Well Spudd has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
