PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Erwin Tulfo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Roger Mallao (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Roger Mallao told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Tulfo shoots in and gets a takedown into Mallao's guard.
Tulfo throwing strikes from guard but Mallao blocks nicely.

Tulfo drops back looking for a leg! Mallao is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Mallao manages to kick Tulfo off! Tulfo jumps back into Mallao's guard.
Mallao is trying to control the position but Tulfo postures up.
Tulfo content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Tulfo might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Tulfo thows a big elbow that misses.
Tulfo is working Mallao over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Tulfo is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Tulfo drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Tulfo seems to have locked his on tight now - Mallao screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Tulfo, as he picks up the win!
