Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Rafael Vasquez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bacardi Breezer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Vasquez might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to The Rolling Stones-Gimmie Shelter. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice sprawl there from Breezer as Vasquez shoots in.
Breezer shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Vasquez counters with a shoot takedown. Breezer fights it but they end up in guard.

Breezer has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Vasquez off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

Breezer gets to his feet - Vasquez follows without any prompting.

and Vasquez decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Breezer's guard.

Vasquez is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Vasquez prevents Breezer from getting back to his feet.

Vasquez drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Vasquez jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Breezer is looking to stand up but Vasquez isn't so interested in that idea.
Breezer can't keep his opponent in guard - Vasquez advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Breezer has one foot on Vasquez's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
