Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Daniel Maplesden (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dwayne Harris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dwayne Harris has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 8 - 0, fighting out of London, Dwayne Harris!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Steven Brown and Sam Margolis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Harris throws a sloppy head kick and Maplesden moves out of range easily.

and Maplesden counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Harris's guard now.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Maplesden postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Harris wants to get back to his feet but Maplesden is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Maplesden is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

Maplesden drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Maplesden jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Maplesden is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Maplesden is looking to work some ground and pound but Harris has wrist control.
Maplesden has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Harris throws his legs up looking for a submission but Maplesden uses it to pass to side control.

Maplesden is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Harris will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

Maplesden is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Harris is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Harris tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Maplesden presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!

Maplesden tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Harris is trying to escape the mount.
Maplesden knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Harris on the ground.

Maplesden really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Harris.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
