Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Keasty Kanne (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johnny Thunder (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Keasty Kanne!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 15 - 0, fighting out of London, Johnny Thunder!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Chris Edwards and Sam Margolis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kanne throws a head kick that misses.
Nice takedown defense from Kanne. No joy for Thunder on that attempt.
Kanne throws a predictable looking body shot
letting Thunder counter with a right hand.
Kanne tries to clinch but Thunder is having none of it.
Kanne tries to clinch up but Thunder circles away and keeps his distance.
Thunder throws a head kick that misses
and Kanne counters with a lovely straight right hand!


It looks like Johnny Thunder has been cut.
Thunder is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Thunder throws the left hand but Kanne avoids the punch easily.

Thunder bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Thunder is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Kanne is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Thunder is looking to take a break and control but Kanne is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Kanne pushes Thunder away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Thunder gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Kanne is not content to let Thunder control the position.

Thunder wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Kanne, who protects the arm well.
Kanne regains half guard there - taking advantage of Thunder's attempt to lay and pray for a moment.

Thunder looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Kanne is looking to escape.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Thunder wants to free his trapped foot but Kanne is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Thunder trying to control the action but Kanne is working from the bottom.

Thunder seems to be working for a kimura but Kanne defends the submission attempt.
Kanne is trying to stand.

Thunder is trying to work for a kimura but Kanne is defending well.
Still in half guard, Thunder seems content to control.

Thunder is looking for a kimura but Kanne is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Thunder to get the leverage.
Kanne might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Thunder is trying to work for a kimura but Kanne is defending well.

Thunder misses with a head shot. Kanne uses the momentum to regain guard.

That's time! Kanne's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Kanne is looking to clinch but Thunder is avoiding it.
Thunder jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Thunder throws a jab when Kanne was well out of range.
Thunder misses with a double jab.
Kanne takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Kanne listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Keasty Kanne is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Kanne looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Thunder dodges the punch combination from Kanne.
Kanne throws a wild body kick that Thunder sees coming a mile off.
Kanne lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Thunder clobbers Kanne with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Kanne throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Kanne closes the distance and clinches.
Thunder jumps guard but Kanne stands there with Thunder around his waist. Thunder gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Kanne lands with a short head shot on the inside.
Thunder is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Kanne pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Thunder drops down looking for an ankle pick but Kanne pulls his leg out and moves away.
Keasty Kanne has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Johnny Thunder.
Kanne throws a head kick but Thunder moves out of range.
Thunder jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Kanne throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Kanne has Thunder up against the cage in a clinch.
Kanne tries to break free but Thunder pushes him back against the cage.

Kanne is fighting off a takedown attempt but Thunder is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Kanne to the mat. Kanne regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Thunder looking to sit in guard and control but Kanne gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Thunder is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Thunder is trying to control the position but Kanne postures up.
Thunder bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Kanne's guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Thunder drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Kanne dives on top into guard.
Thunder wants to sweep but no luck.
Thunder wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Kanne is now in half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
The fighters are battling for position here. Thunder manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Thunder is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Thunder is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Thunder looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Thunder wants to improve his position but instead Kanne has moved into half guard.
Thunder is trying to control but Kanne manages to pass to mount!

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Thunder sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Kanne prevents Thunder from improving his position.
Thunder desperately trying to maintain half guard.
Thunder makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Thunder.
Johnny Thunder has got the better of the ground game so far.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Thunder is trying to keep Kanne in close.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Johnny Thunder will probably get the nod - 10:9.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!


Kanne fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Thunder manages to avoid it.
Thunder throws a hook but Kanne blocks it.
Kanne fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Kanne.
Kanne connects with an inside leg kick.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Kanne moves into the clinch.
Thunder is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Kanne to keep the fight standing.
Thunder looking for a takedown.

Kanne lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Thunder takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Thunder circles away from the clinch attempt.

No joy there for Kanne, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

and Kanne cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Kanne tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Thunder was well out of range. Poor timing from Kanne.

Thunder avoids the head kick by Kanne.
Thunder displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Kanne throws out the jab.

Kanne scores with a nice head shot.
Kanne connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Thunder swings for the body but Kanne moves out of range.
Kanne steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Thunder.
Kanne bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Thunder looks to score with a jab to the body but Kanne is just out of range.
Thunder misses with a hook.

The fight stays on the outside here - Kanne looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Kanne swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Thunder.
A telegraphed right hand from Thunder misses the target.
Thunder throws a jab but it's blocked by Kanne.
A big left from Kanne misses.
Kanne avoids a punch combination nicely.

Kanne clinches with his opponent.
Kanne wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Johnny Thunder has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Thunder is working for takedown but Kanne is calmly controlling the position for now.
Keasty Kanne has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Johnny Thunder.
Kanne lands on the inside with an uppercut.

Kanne wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Thunder has him pressed against the cage.

Kanne changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Thunder misses with a looping left.
Thunder throws a head kick but Kanne moves out of range.

Kanne instigates a clinch.
Thunder wants a takedown.
Kanne's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Kanne works on Thunder's body with a couple of short punches.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Kanne gets underhooks to prevent Thunder's takedown attempt.
A frustrated look appears on Kanne's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Thunder has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Kanne avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

And that's the end of the fight!
Keasty Kanne showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Thunder has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
