PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Toncimma Kruna (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Omar Dulaymi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dulaymi has chosen Sandstorm as his entrance music. Omar Dulaymi is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Toncimma Kruna!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Omar Dulaymi!
The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Aafke Stam and Wagner Zegers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dulaymi looks for a takedown but Kruna sprawls well.

Dulaymi feints and as Kruna raises his hands in defense, Dulaymi changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Dulaymi trying to control the position from guard on top but Kruna is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Kruna knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Dulaymi on the ground.
Dulaymi controlling from the top position.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Omar Dulaymi.
Dulaymi fails in his attempt to clinch.

Dulaymi scores with a takedown into Kruna's guard.
Kruna is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Dulaymi trying to control the position from guard on top but Kruna is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Omar Dulaymi was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Dulaymi turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Dulaymi taking a breather.

Dulaymi breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Kruna fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Dulaymi, pushing him back against the cage.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Dulaymi stalling the fight.
Dulaymi lands a shoulder strike.
Kruna wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Kruna breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Kruna forces Dulaymi back against the cage and clinches.
Dulaymi is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Kruna is defending well for now.
Kruna is pressed up against the cage. Dulaymi has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Kruna down to the mat. Kruna avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Dulaymi feints and as Kruna raises his hands in defense, Dulaymi changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Kruna wants to get back to his feet but Dulaymi is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Dulaymi is looking to work some ground and pound but Kruna has wrist control.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Dulaymi is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Toncimma Kruna has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Dulaymi shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Kruna defends it nicely.
Toncimma Kruna has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Omar Dulaymi.

Dulaymi closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Kruna's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kruna is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Dulaymi dives into side control.
Kruna tries to escape but Dulaymi is in control.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Dulaymi moves into full mount!
Kruna really wants to buck Dulaymi off and get back to his feet.
Kruna is squirming around, avoiding Dulaymi's attempts to control the action.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Omar Dulaymi dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!



Kruna gets a clinch.
Dulaymi goes for a takedown attempt but Kruna pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Kruna moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Kruna defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Dulaymi.
Kruna lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.


Dulaymi is rocked!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Nice takedown defense from Kruna. No joy for Dulaymi on that attempt.
Dulaymi is still on wobbly legs! Can Kruna finish him?
Toncimma Kruna has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Omar Dulaymi.

Kruna clinches with his opponent.
Kruna working hard to break the clinch.
Kruna prevents a takedown attempt there.
A frustrated look appears on Kruna's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Dulaymi seems to have recovered his senses.
Dulaymi drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Kruna gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Dulaymi ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Dulaymi no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Dulaymi is breathing heavily.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Dulaymi trying to keep a closed guard but Kruna is proving a slippery customer.
Kruna wants to stand but Dulaymi is controlling his posture from full guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Toncimma Kruna just wasn't active enough.
Dulaymi shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Kruna sprawls well. Kruna wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Dulaymi gets slowly back to his feet.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Kruna is looking to break free of the clinch but Dulaymi has double underhooks.
Kruna wants to break the clinch but can't.
Dulaymi tries to score a body lock takedown but Kruna shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Kruna escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Kruna lands with a hook. Dulaymi tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Dulaymi on the wrong end of a nice hook.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Kruna stuffs the takedown.
Kruna pounces like a tiger and cracks Dulaymi with a vicious hook! Dulaymi is down but not out! Kruna follows up with more strikes forcing the ref to jump in and stop it!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:47 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Toncimma Kruna!
