The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Anderson misses with a leg kick.
Maia keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Maia avoids a punch combination nicely.
Anderson darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Maia has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Maia there as he acknowledges the shot.
Anderson scores with a hook.
Anderson lands with a nice body punch.
Anderson rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Maia moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Anderson cracks a nice hook into Maia's ribs.
Maia with a poor takedown
and Anderson counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

Maia takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Anderson scores with a sloppy right hand. Maia should have avoided that one.
Anderson throws a low kick but it's checked well by Maia.
Maia shoots in for a double leg but Anderson sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Maia takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

and Anderson cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Anderson is pawing at Maia, trying to feel the distance before throwing out a cross that crashes into Maia's nose. Maia is badly hurt! Anderson pounces, throwing wild strikes as both fighters end up on the ground! Maia tries desperately to hold on but Anderson is relentless in his assault! As Maia receives an ever increasing number of unanswered strikes the referee pulls Anderson away and this one is in the books!
