PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Zhen Long (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gabe Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Zhen Long has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Zhen Long seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No joy there for Long, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Silva throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Silva.
Long rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Silva moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Silva takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Long throws a chopping leg kick but Silva manages to avoid taking any serious damage.

Silva drives through with a takedown into guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

Silva decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Silva gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Long with an attempt at a knee that misses.
Long tries to land a knee to the head but Silva blocks with his arms.

Silva is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Long tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.

Silva successfully pulls guard.

Silva is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Long defends well.

Silva is looking for a triangle but Long pushes his legs off easily.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Silva has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Long should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Silva has tightened it up now! Long should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
