The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Tatum looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Tatum throwing strikes from guard but Jeremy blocks nicely.
Tatum loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

A chopping leg kick lands by Jeremy.
Jeremy sizes up Tatum with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Jeremy lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Tatum tries to move into range but Jeremy moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Tatum has a takedown stuffed.
Jeremy misses with a kick to the body.
Jeremy throws the kick towards the body but Tatum avoids it.
Tatum tries to clinch up.
Jeremy misses the shot to the body.
Jeremy blocks a low kick nicely.
Jeremy explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
Tatum pulls out of a head kick attempt.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Jeremy feints and then cracks Tatum's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Tatum down.
Jeremy throws a wild body kick that Tatum sees coming a mile off.
Tatum tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.

Ron Jeremy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Tatum ducks right into an uppercut from Jeremy.
Jeremy is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Tatum tries a head kick but it misses.
Jeremy misses with a straight left.
Tatum ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Jeremy moves away.
Jeremy lunges at Tatum with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Tatum's hand.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Tatum fails with an attempt to clinch.
Jeremy uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Tatum.

Tatum closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Tatum lands in his opponent's guard.
Jeremy wants to sweep here but Tatum controlling him for the moment.
Jeremy bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Tatum's guard.
Tatum manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Tatum postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Jeremy looks a forlorn figure.

Tatum can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Jeremy is looking to escape.
Tatum misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
