Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wells shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Lucas sprawls well. Lucas wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Wells gets slowly back to his feet.

Lucas forces Wells back against the cage and clinches.

Wells jumps into guard, dragging Lucas to the mat.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Lucas wants to control from the top but Wells keeps moving.
Wells trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!

Lucas got a little sloppy there for a moment and Wells has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Lucas has managed to get both his arms back between Wells's legs - danger averted.

Lucas is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Wells has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Lucas is looking to defend but Wells has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Lucas! Wells pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Lucas taps out and this one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Robert Wells!
