The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Stevenson drops Gomes with a left right combo! Stevenson follows him down to the ground into side control.

Gomes is rocked!

It looks like Eike Gomes has been cut.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Gomes is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Gomes is still in real trouble! Can Stevenson finish him?

Stevenson decides to stand back up.
Stevenson misses with a few strikes there.
Gomes misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Gomes seems to have recovered his senses.
Stevenson throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Gomes shoots for a double leg takedown but Stevenson sprawls well. He's pushed Gomes's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Stevenson lets his hands go wild with a nice combination. Left! Right! Uppercut! Spinning backfist! Gomes goes down and covers up as Stevenson starts wailing on him! The ref watches the action closely before stepping in and putting a stop to the fight!
