Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Ian Loll and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown by Plante or perhaps it was just good defense by Shire which made him look bad.
Plante looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Shire scores a takedown into full mount!
Shire working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.
Shire is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Plante can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Shire wants to finish this one by submission but Plante is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Shire.
Plante is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Shire has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Plante's face.

Plante is in a horrible position here. Shire smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Plante is wriggling around trying to escape.

Plante gets back to half guard.
Plante is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Shire scores with a couple of nice shots.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Shire in particular looking to stall.
Shire has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Shire lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
It looks like Matt Plante has been cut.
Shire wants to lay and pray for a moment but Plante keeps working.
Shire looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Stafford Shire seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Shire lands with a right that hurts Plante. Plante looks to clinch but Shire throws a short knee that drops Plante. This one is all over!
