Nelson kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is My Time. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Abramov darts in trying to clinch

and Nelson counters with a shoot takedown. Abramov fights it but they end up in guard.
Nelson is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Nelson trying to control but Abramov is working from the bottom.
Abramov controls Nelson momentarily but Nelson frees himself.
Nelson slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Nelson thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Nelson tries to move to mount but Abramov blocks the move with his legs.
