Kallstrom has chosen God Hates Us as his entrance music. Coobie Barksdale could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Kim Kallstrom's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kallstrom throws a sloppy head kick and Barksdale moves out of range easily.
Barksdale ducks down and throws a hook to the body.

Kallstrom moves into the clinch.

Barksdale breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Kallstrom got a little sloppy there for a moment and Barksdale has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Kallstrom has managed to get both his arms back between Barksdale's legs - danger averted.
Kallstrom is pushing down on Barksdale's leg trying to pass to half guard. Barksdale is fighting to maintain full guard but Kallstrom has managed to sneak the leg through.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Kallstrom is looking for a kimura but Barksdale is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Kallstrom to get the leverage.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Kallstrom takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.

Kallstrom changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Barksdale tries to avoid it but Kallstrom manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Barksdale to the ground. Barksdale escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Barksdale lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Barksdale looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Barksdale wants to clinch up but Kallstrom keeps it at a distance.

Barksdale shoots in looking for a takedown. Kallstrom tries to sprawl out of it but Barksdale keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Kallstrom manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Barksdale has taken the fight to the clinch.
Barksdale has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Kallstrom is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
