Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Chakotay Ricker!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Marijo Palavra!
The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Konstantin Menshow and Viktor Lagutenko.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ricker fakes the leg kick and cracks Palavra in the body.
Ricker stuffs the takedown attempt from Palavra. Palavra gets slowly back to his feet.
Ricker throws a wild body kick that Palavra sees coming a mile off.

Ricker drives through and clinches with Palavra against the cage.
Ricker lands a good knee to the midsection. Palavra won't want to take too many of those.
Palavra can't get the takedown.
Ricker lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.
Ricker manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Ricker scores a nice knee to the body.
Ricker crunches a lovely knee into Palavra's ribcage.

Ricker pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Palavra.
Chakotay Ricker has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Marijo Palavra.
Ricker throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.

Horrible takedown by Palavra or perhaps it was just good defense by Ricker which made him look bad.
Palavra misses with a takedown attempt - Ricker sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Ricker delivers a nice body kick.
Ricker misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Palavra has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Ricker.
Palavra avoids the head kick by Ricker.
Palavra swats away the attempt to clinch by Ricker.
Ricker lands a head kick. Palavra smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Palavra moves out of range as Ricker throws a body kick.
A bone on bone clash there as Palavra blocks the leg kick.
Ricker tries to close the distance and clinch up but Palavra swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Palavra fails to land the takedown.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Ricker. Palavra shrugs it off though.
Palavra shoots in for a takedown but Ricker shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Palavra shoots in but Ricker avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Palavra shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Palavra was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Palavra looks gassed!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Ricker is desperately trying to improve his position but Palavra has a good base and remains in mount.
Ricker tries to hold on but Palavra pushes him away.
Ricker knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Palavra on the ground.
Palavra trying to control but he's not successful this time.

Ricker defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Palavra.
Ricker can't escape the position.
Ricker manages to regain half guard. Good work.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Palavra lands a nice short elbow.

Ricker is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Palavra pulls his head out easily.

Palavra is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Palavra lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Ricker trying to hold on to Palavra's head to control him but Palavra postures up.
Palavra trying to pass the guard but Ricker defending well.
Palavra winds up and cracks Ricker with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Palavra seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Ricker does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Palavra working over Ricker with some ground and pound. Ricker looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Ricker has hold of Palavra's hands but Palavra slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Chakotay Ricker dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Palavra feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Palavra postures up and lands a big shot to Ricker's brow.
Marijo Palavra has got the better of the ground game so far.

Palavra is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Palavra sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Ricker's guard.
Ricker tries to roll over but Palavra keeps him under control.

Palavra is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Ricker is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
