The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bulman shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Bulman was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Bulman has hold of Smith's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Smith manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Smith is bucking up trying to escape but Bulman cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Bulman jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Smith manages to avoid the submission attempt.

Smith is looking to regain half guard here but Bulman keeps moving and retains side control.
Smith is trying to get back to his feet.

Smith seems to have recovered his senses.
Bulman grinds an elbow into Smith's temple.

Bulman is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Smith has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Bulman lands a big shot to the head and Smith winces in pain. He's tapped out due to strikes!
