Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bang Udin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Karl Marks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Bang Udin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Karl Marks!
The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Chad Campbell and Lou da Vinci.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Marks closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Marks tries for a kimura but Udin is defending well.
Udin manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
Udin trying to mount his opponent but Marks defends it.

Udin is working for a submission of some sort.

Udin is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

Udin is working for a kimura but Marks is defending it quite comfortably.

Marks avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Udin.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Udin is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Udin wants to pass the guard but Marks is defending well.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Udin is working for a kimura from half guard. He's really concentrating on the hold and it's allowed Marks to slip a leg under and get back to full guard.
Udin trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Marks is looking for a triangle but Udin pushes his legs off easily.

Udin got a little sloppy there for a moment and Marks has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Udin has managed to get both his arms back between Marks's legs - danger averted.

Udin trying to control the position from guard on top but Marks is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Bang Udin will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!



Marks looking to score a takedown here. Udin is defending well but Marks drives through and ends up in Udin's guard.
Marks really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Udin. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Marksis looking to pass into half guard but Udin pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Udin is in guard.

Udin postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Marks is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Udin, into his guard.

Marks has gone for a leg lock! Udin slips out almost immediately though and dives into Marks's guard.
Marks keeping moving, preventing Udin from controlling successfully.
Udin is pushing down on Marks's leg trying to pass to half guard. Marks is fighting to maintain full guard but Udin has managed to sneak the leg through.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Udin is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Marks actively working from the bottom here.
Udin with the ground and pound but Marks uses the opportunity to regain guard.
Udin passes Marks's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Marks can do anything to dispel that myth.
Udin looks to land a strike but Marks avoids it nicely and regains full guard.

Marks is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Udin wants to control from the top but Marks keeps moving.

Marks drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Marks jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Udin controls Marks momentarily but Marks frees himself.
Udin is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Marks tries to free his leg and advance position but Udin is retaining full guard.

Marks is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Udin is looking to sinch up a triangle. Marks throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Udin's body to avoid the submission. Udin has instead reached around Marks's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Udin arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:04 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Bang Udin!
A very excited looking Bang Udin made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
