The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Laski throws a head kick that misses

and Allgood decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Laski's guard.
Laski looking to hit a scissor sweep but Allgood is one step ahead there.
Allgood stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Laski swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Allgood wants to control from the top but Laski keeps moving.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Laski has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Laski striking off his back but it's not causing Allgood any problems.

Laski wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Allgood has his takedown stuffed

and Laski counters by clinching up.
Allgood jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Laski walks away with a smile on his face. Allgood gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Allgood misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Saul Laski has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Cuthbert Allgood.
Allgood tries to close the distance and clinch but Laski swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Laski fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Allgood sprawls well initially but Laski persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

and Laski counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Laski.
Allgood doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Allgood tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Allgood is trying to break the clinch but Laski has him pressed against the cage.

Laski gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Allgood regains guard.
Allgood looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Laski puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.

Allgood shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Laski as he jumps to the side.

Allgood looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Laski is fending him off so far but Allgood persists. Nope, Laski circles away and we're back to standing.

Allgood throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Laski escapes and throws Allgood's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Saul Laski overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Laski is staying tight to Allgood's torso, preventing him from escaping.
Laski has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

and Laski counters with a single leg into guard. Allgood didn't expect that.
Laski tries to free his leg and advance position but Allgood is retaining full guard.
Laski has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Laski is landing with some decent strikes but Allgood is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

Laski goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Allgood turns into him and now he's in Laski's guard.

Laski throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Allgood was covering up waiting for the punch and Laski finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Laski connects with a couple of short punches.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Laski's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Laski stays in close to Allgood's body and controls the position.
Allgood is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Laski is controlling him.
Laski is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Allgood can do to turn this around?
Laski keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Allgood's head.

Allgood has momentary wrist control but Laski slips an elbow through the middle.

Allgood trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!
Laski loads up on a big left hand. Allgood felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Laski looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Allgood can't hide his disappointment, as Laski celebrates the victory.
