Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kai Diao (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gunner Hansen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Diao comes to the cage accompanied by 半斤八兩. Hansen is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: The Prodigy - Breathe. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Donald Grub and James Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hansen shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Diao is trying desperately to improve position.
Hansen tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Diao tries to hold on but Hansen postures up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Diao is in all sorts of trouble here.

Diao's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Gunner Hansen wasn't active enough on the ground.
Hansen takes a head kick and shrugs it off.

A chopping leg kick lands by Diao.
Diao throws a head kick but Hansen moves out of range.
Hansen walks into a jab.
Hansen takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Diao dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Hansen. That did some damage!
Diao feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Hansen's calf.
Kai Diao is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Diao fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Hansen manages to avoid it.

Hansen avoids the head kick by Diao.
Diao throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Kai Diao seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hansen avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Diao connects with an inside leg kick.
Diao cracks the inside of Hansen's front leg.
Hansen looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Diao is fending him off so far but Hansen persists. Nope, Diao circles away and we're back to standing.
Diao pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Hansen will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Diao lands with a kick to the temple. Hansen shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Diao lands a nice hook to Hansen's body. Hansen takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
That kick from Diao tenderised Hansen's leg. Hansen is trying to keep his angry face on.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Diao's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Diao tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

A looping hook to the body misses from Diao. Hansen does a little dance to reset his feet.
Hansen dives in and grabs Diao's left leg, looking for a takedown. Diao pushes down on Hansen's head and hops out.

Diao misses with a hook. Hansen ducked under it nicely.
Hansen throws a hook but Diao avoids it easily.

Diao thumps Hansen with a low kick.
Hansen's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
Diao throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Diao gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Hansen to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Hansen is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Diao on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Diao tries to get out of the position.
Diao is trying to control the position from the bottom.

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Diao displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Hansen throws out the jab.
Kai Diao is winning the standup battle so far.
Hansen moves out of range as Diao strikes.
Hansen on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Diao thows a body shot but no joy.
Diao cracks a nice hook into Hansen's ribs.
Diao paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Diao throws out a leg kick but Hansen moves out of range and Diao only half commits.

Diao stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Diao gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Diao is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Diao wants to sweep but no luck.
Diao managing to control the position.
Hansen passes into half guard.
Hansen is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Diao doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Hansen.
Diao might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Hansen is taking a breather. Diao says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Diao is trying to stand.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Hansen is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Kai Diao will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!
Diao lands with a nice body punch.
Diao throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Hansen.
A cross from Diao lands.
Diao fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Diao feints and then cracks Hansen's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Hansen down.

Diao tried to score with a low kick but Hansen checks it.

Hansen shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Diao as he avoids it easily.

Diao connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Hansen takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Diao lands with a hook. Hansen tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Hansen walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

Kai Diao has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Gunner Hansen.
Hansen takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Diao throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Hansen's head.
Gunner Hansen has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Diao lands a nice hook to Hansen's body. Hansen takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Diao throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.

Kai Diao is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Good leg kick by Diao there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Hansen takes a kick to the side of the head.
Hansen throws a body punch but Diao moves out of range.

Kai Diao showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Diao, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Kai Diao really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that [EVO] Koffin Inc. *Laundry Available* logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
