The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Navozov swats away the attempt to clinch by Benavidez.
A telegraphed right hand from Navozov misses the target.
Navozov dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Benavidez gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Benavidez swings wildly with an uppercut but Navozov uses good head movement to avoid it.
Navozov manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Navozov missing with knees to the body.
Benavidez looking to throw knees to the head but Navozov is blocking nicely.
Navozov is trying to break the clinch but Benavidez is controlling him.

Benavidez jumps guard but Navozov stands there with Benavidez around his waist. Benavidez gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Navozov has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Benavidez jumps into guard, dragging Navozov to the mat.
Benavidez working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Navozov doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Benavidez is tightening it up a little... Navozov has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Navozov reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Navozov taps out! Nice BJJ there by Benavidez!
