Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Matteo Minonzio (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Estefan Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Minonzio comes into the arena with AC/DC - Highway To Hell blaring out of the sound system. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gracie darts in trying to clinch
and Minonzio decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Gracie's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Gracie controls Minonzio momentarily but Minonzio frees himself.
Minonzio with a flurry of punches that miss.
Minonzio has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Gracie looking to control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Gracie throws his legs up looking for a submission but Minonzio uses it to pass to side control.
Gracie is looking for a sweep.
Minonzio cracks Gracie with a big right hand but Gracie just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Minonzio throwing strikes but Gracie manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control!
Minonzio pushes Gracie away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Gracie gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Gracie wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Minonzio, who protects the arm well.
Minonzio prevents Gracie from moving into mount.
Gracie swings around for an armbar but Minonzio sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Gracie's guard.
Gracie working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Minonzio has passed into half guard!
Gracie is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Minonzio pulls his head out easily.

Minonzio is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Minonzio thows a huge punch but Gracie dodges it nicely.
Minonzio thows a big elbow that misses, also allowing Gracie to regain full guard.
Gracie avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

Gracie looking to control.
Gracie looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Minonzio passes into side control.
Minonzio trying to control the position but Gracie is working away.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Nice sprawl there from Gracie as Minonzio shoots in.
Gracie dives in and grabs Minonzio's left leg, looking for a takedown. Minonzio pushes down on Gracie's head and hops out.
Matteo Minonzio is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Minonzio fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Gracie should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Gracie fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Minonzio sprawls well initially but Gracie persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Gracie uses his free foot to push down on Minonzio's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Minonzio.
Minonzio trying desperately to get to his feet.
Gracie lands a heavy elbow.

Gracie jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Minonzio is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Minonzio and Gracie has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Gracie tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Gracie goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Minonzio has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Gracie but great work by Minonzio.
Gracie can't do much from the bottom here.
Matteo Minonzio overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
