Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Blake McBox (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frank Streder (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Blake McBox!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Frank Streder!
The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Ben Zyskovitsi and Arvi Lind.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Streder closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Streder stalling.
Streder not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Streder sitting and controlling from the half guard.

Frank Streder has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
McBox misses with a wild combination.
Streder avoids a punch combination nicely.

Streder looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Streder is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
McBox tries to hold on but Streder postures up.

Streder sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.

Streder working for a guillotine from mount but McBox is in no mood to give up.

Streder looking to control and managing it successfully.
Streder with shots to the head and body - McBox looks very uncomfortable down there.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Streder takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
It looks like Streder might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
McBox working to try and regain half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Frank Streder dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!



McBox drives through and clinches with Streder against the cage.
Streder has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Streder blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
McBox misses with the head strike.
McBox throws a punch but it's blocked by Streder.
Streder goes for a takedown in the clinch but McBox prevents it.
McBox misses with a hook from the clinch.
McBox pushes Streder back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
McBox has a couple of punches blocked by Streder.
Streder has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by McBox after a bit of a struggle.
Streder is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Streder blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
McBox keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Streder's efforts to push away.

Streder is trying to force a seperation but McBox has the dominant position.
McBox lands a right hand.
McBox lands with a short head shot on the inside.

McBox lands a nice uppercut.
McBox fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
McBox misses with a hook to the ribs.
Streder drops down looking for an ankle pick but McBox pulls his leg out and moves away.
Blake McBox has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Frank Streder.
McBox lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Streder circles away quickly and effectively.
McBox throws a body kick that misses.

Streder drives through with a takedown into McBox's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Streder controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

Streder drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Streder jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Streder controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Streder moves out of range as McBox strikes.
McBox throws a series of punches but Streder avoids them all with ease.
McBox misses with a body shot.
McBox lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Streder circles away quickly and effectively.
Streder moves out of range as McBox strikes.
Streder takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
McBox misses with a low kick.
McBox attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
This has been an exciting period of action!
McBox throws a low kick but it's checked well by Streder.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Streder shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Streder showed some decent athleticism there.
Streder working over McBox with some ground and pound. McBox looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Streder not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Streder not doing much here.

Streder looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Streder stalling.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Frank Streder will probably get the nod - 10:9.
That's time! Back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!


McBox looks to land a combination but Streder avoids it well.
Streder shoots in for a takedown but McBox shows good takedown defense.
Streder tries to close the distance and clinch up but McBox swats him away and circles back towards the center.
McBox tries to clinch but Streder is having none of it.
McBox throws a solid leg kick but Streder takes the impact on his shin and smiles at McBox.
McBox throws a combination that misses
and Streder counters with a three punch combo that has McBox backing up. McBox nods at Streder to acknowledge the strikes.
McBox swinging wildly here.
McBox is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
McBox misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
McBox misses with a low kick.
Streder throws a head kick but McBox moves out of range.
Blake McBox is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

A momentary lapse in concentration from McBox enables Streder to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. McBox manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
McBox is trying to hold Streder in close to prevent damage but Streder has managed to pass into half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Streder is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Streder not doing much here.

Streder wants to work for an arm triangle but McBox is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Blake McBox has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

McBox is defending against the submission attempts here by Streder.
Streder stalling.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Blake McBox.

McBox throws a left and a right that both miss

and Streder counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
McBox wants to sweep but Streder has passed to side control!

Streder is working to tighten is grip on McBox's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. McBox has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Streder is really squeezing tight and eventually McBox passes out! Streder breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
