Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.

The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Wesley Smith and Tiny Johnson.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Velasquez misses with a few strikes there.
Smith takes a swing at Velasquez's ribcage but misses.
Velasquez looks to land a combination but Smith avoids it well.
Velasquez throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Smith counters with a left to the body.
Smith scores with a nice right hand.
Velasquez falls off balance throwing a combination
enabling Smith to counter with a crisp jab.

It looks like Cain Velasquez has been cut.
Velasquez will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Velasquez swings widly with a right hand
and Velasquez takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Velasquez throws out a loose jab but Smith uses good head movement to avoid it.
Velasquez misses with a combination
and Smith counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Velasquez throws a lazy uppercut
and Smith counters with a two punch combo.
Velasquez looks gassed!
Velasquez throws a shot from downtown. Smith moves away and avoids it.
Smith stuns Velasquez with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Velasquez takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

Smith feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Velasquez sprawling to the canvas! Velasquez rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Smith finish him?!

Velasquez is rocked!
Smith lands a nice shot to the body.

Smith scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

Smith has Velasquez up against the cage in a clinch.
Smith keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Velasquez's efforts to push away.

That has opened up Cain Velasquez's cut even more.

Velasquez can't break the clinch.
Smith lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.

Velasquez is still on wobbly legs! Can Smith finish him?
Smith digs a right hand underneath Velasquez's ribcage. Velasquez let out a lung full of air as it connected.
Velasquez seems to have recovered his senses.

Smith digs a right hand into Velasquez's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Velasquez's gas tank.
Smith lands with a right to the head.

Smith drops Velasquez onto one knee with a big uppercut from the clinch! Velasquez is propped up by the cage and works his way back to his feet!
Nice body punch from Smith - that landed with a thud.
Smith unloads with a big right hand that wobbles Velasquez! He's leaning against the cage trying to keep his feet but Smith is unloading with more strikes now! Velasquez drops to his knees and the referee stops the fight for a TKO!
