Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Paul McCartney!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Martin closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming McCartney to the mat! McCartney manages to get full guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

McCartney is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

McCartney is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

McCartney is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Martin is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Martin tries to buck McCartney off but McCartney is having none of it.

McCartney wants to control the pace but Martin is squirming around nicely.

Martin is bucking up trying to escape but McCartney cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Martin is trying desperately to improve position.

McCartney can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Martin is looking to escape.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Martin tries for a takedown but McCartney sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

McCartney closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Martin bucks up and tries to throw McCartney off but instead McCartney has got his back!
Paul McCartney has got the better of the ground game so far.
Martin is keeping busy.
McCartney is trying to stick to Martin's back but Martin is turning into McCartney. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in McCartney's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Martin.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

McCartney manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Martin manages to get himself to full guard.

Martin lands a good elbow from the bottom.

Martin is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Martin looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but McCartney puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

That was a close second round but I would say that George Martin will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!


McCartney shoots in and drives through. Martin sprawls well.
McCartney fails with the takedown.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from McCartney is defended easily by Martin.
George Martin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Paul McCartney.

A bone on bone clash there as McCartney blocks the leg kick.
McCartney stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and McCartney wants it to stay on the feet.
Martin looks to land a right hand but McCartney moved out of range.
McCartney scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
McCartney changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Martin tries to avoid it but McCartney manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Martin to the ground. Martin escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Martin rushes McCartney and presses him up against the ropes.
McCartney is defending well against a takedown attempt.
Martin tries to throw a body punch but McCartney avoids it by throwing Martin back against the ropes.
McCartney stops a takedown attempt from Martin.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

McCartney drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
McCartney is working for a takedown up against the ropes. He can't get it on this occasion though.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

McCartney has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Martin is trying to keep an underhook but McCartney manages to get the takedown into half guard.
Martin tries to roll over but McCartney keeps him under control.

McCartney prevents Martin from improving his position.
McCartney throwing shots but Martin is blocking nicely.
McCartney trying to mount his opponent but Martin defends it.

McCartney wants to pass to mount but Martin is defending the position.
McCartney is looking to stall here but Martin recovers full guard.
Martin bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in McCartney's guard.

Martin postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! McCartney is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Martin, into his guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Martin keeping moving, preventing McCartney from controlling successfully.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to George Martin.
I think Martin has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
