Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Blade Ruffo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kane Kilburn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kilburn has chosen Always as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Kane Kilburn is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Blade Ruffo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Kane Kilburn!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Donald Grub and James Atkins.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kilburn lands a front kick.
Ruffo fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Kilburn chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Ruffo takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Kilburn throws a leg kick which misses Ruffo's front leg but catches the back leg as Ruffo tries to avoid it.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Kilburn. Ruffo shrugs it off though.
Ruffo is breathing heavily.
Ruffo shoots in looking for a takedown. Kilburn tries to sprawl out of it but Ruffo keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the ropes. Kilburn manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Kilburn lands with a nice body kick.
Kilburn lands with a kick to the ribs.

Kilburn rushes Ruffo and presses him up against the ropes.

Ruffo is working for takedown but Kilburn is calmly controlling the position for now.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Blade Ruffo. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Kilburn landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.
Kilburn has Ruffo pressed up against the ropes in a tight Thai clinch. Ruffo is arching his back, trying to avoid the knees but a big one sneaks through from Kilburn - that's hurt Ruffo badly! Oh, another knee lands and Ruffo is covering up! The referee steps in to save him - possibly a bit early but Ruffo doesn't seem to be complaining.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:05 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Knees). Kane Kilburn!
