Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Rick Lance (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and New Yorker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Rick Lance!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, New Yorker!
The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Paul Aken and Patrick Alders.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yorker tries a head kick but it misses.

Lance closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Yorker to the mat! Yorker manages to get full guard.

Yorker is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Lance is aware though and is defending well.
Lance is looking to stand up but Yorker won't let him.
Lance is stalling in the full guard.
Lance passes into half guard.
Still in half guard, Lance seems content to control.
Lance is pressing down on Yorker's thigh, looking to free his foot. Yorker is holding on for now.

Lance seems to be working for a kimura but Yorker defends the submission attempt.
Lance controlling the action here.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Lance is figuring out what he wants to do next.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Yorker is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Lance pulls his head out easily.
Lance winds up and cracks Yorker with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.

Yorker looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Lance stands up out of the half guard.
New Yorker seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lance moves out of range of the body kick from Yorker.

Lance decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Lance is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Yorker is just riding it out for now. Lance eventually gives up the hold.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Lance escapes and gets back to his feet.
The crowd cheers as Lance lands an impressive looking overhand right. Yorker doesn't seem phased though.

Lance has closed the distance and engaged Yorker in a clinch.
Yorker tries to land a knee to the head but Lance blocks with his arms.
Yorker has had enough of the clinch but Lance keeps him there for the moment.
Yorker wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Lance has him pressed against the ropes.
Lance lands a shoulder strike.
Yorker missing with knees to the body.
Lance lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Yorker backwards.
Lance lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.


Yorker is rocked!
Lance misses with a punch on the inside.
Yorker is still on wobbly legs! Can Lance finish him?
Lance swings wildly with an uppercut but Yorker uses good head movement to avoid it.

Lance escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Yorker seems to have recovered his senses.

Lance gets a double leg takedown into Yorker's guard.

Yorker working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Lance doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Lance manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Lance trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Lance might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Lance would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Lance stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Yorker swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Yorker looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Lance slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Yorker struggling a bit here.
Lance lands a nice forearm strike.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Lance tries for a kimura but Yorker is defending well.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Yorker is looking to regain half guard here but Lance keeps moving and retains side control.
Lance content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
Yorker is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Lance happy to just control the position for now.

Lance tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Lance has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Lance wants to lay and pray for a moment but Yorker keeps working.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Rick Lance dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Lance slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Yorker tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Lance tries to bum rush Yorker with a series of wild strikes but Yorker uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Lance throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
Lance throws a series of punches but Yorker avoids them all with ease.
Lance misses with a head kick.
Lance looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Yorker throws a half hearted mid kick.
Good work by Yorker as he checks the leg kick.
Yorker tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Lance throws a body punch but Yorker moves out of range.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Lance connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Yorker's hands.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Yorker misses with a kick to the body.
Lance is pawing at Yorker, trying to feel the distance before throwing out a cross that crashes into Yorker's nose. Yorker is badly hurt! Lance pounces, throwing wild strikes as both fighters end up on the ground! Yorker tries desperately to hold on but Lance is relentless in his assault! As Yorker receives an ever increasing number of unanswered strikes the referee pulls Lance away and this one is in the books!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:48 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Rick Lance!
Rick Lance decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
