Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ramon Groot!
The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Daniel Blasius and Albert Achterberg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Groot connects with a crisp jab.
Darko wants to clinch.
Groot rushes Darko and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Groot tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Groot throws an elbow but it misses.
Groot lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!
Darko gets a trip takedown into half guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Darko scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Darko trying to pass the guard but Groot defending well.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Darko is working hard here to advance position.
Groot is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Darko pulls his head out easily.
Groot wants to get back to full guard but Darko has mounted him!
Groot is in all sorts of trouble here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Darko is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Groot can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Groot is in a horrible position here. Darko smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Darko looking to secure an arm triangle but Groot defends it well.
Groot keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Groot is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Darko connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
It looks like Ramon Groot has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Darko can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Groot is looking to escape.
Groot tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Darko tries to control but Groot wriggling away.
Darko working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.

Darko landing strikes, looking to finish!

Darko prevents Groot from getting the reversal.
Darko landing punches.
Groot tries to lock up and control but Darko gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Darko is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Groot can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Groot is rocked!
That has opened up Ramon Groot's cut even more.
Darko lands a heavy shot. That's hurt Groot! Darko sees the opportunity and turns up the heat - strike after strike land to the defenseless Groot and the ref dives in to save him! This one is all over!
