Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jon Diebler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johnny Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Johnny Jones will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Diebler drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Jones is looking to stand up but Diebler isn't so interested in that idea.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Diebler connects with a nice short shot to Jones's temple.
Jones is looking for a sweep. Diebler is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Jones is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Diebler's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Diebler's back!
Jones doesn't have the hooks in and Diebler manages to turn into his guard.

Jones controls Diebler momentarily but Diebler frees himself.

Diebler slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Jones not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Diebler is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Diebler's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Jones tries to close the distance and clinch up but Diebler swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Diebler closes this distance looking for a takedown but Jones circles away.

Diebler shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Diebler showed some decent athleticism there.

Diebler seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Jones for as long as he can get away with.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
