Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ari Velazquez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Simo Silmu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Velazquez comes to the ring accompanied by Since the Flood-. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ari Velazquez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Simo Silmu!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Wesley Smith and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silmu slips a jab from Velazquez.
Velazquez fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
It looks like Simo Silmu has been cut.
Silmu looking to score a takedown here. Velazquez is defending well but Silmu drives through and ends up in Velazquez's guard.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Silmu wants to control from the top but Velazquez keeps moving.
Silmu postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Velazquez is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Silmu, into his guard.
Silmu has his foot on Velazquez's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Velazquez works his way back into a safe position though.
Silmu had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Velazquez defends it easily.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Velazquez knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Silmu on the ground.

Velazquez avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Silmu has his foot on Velazquez's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Velazquez works his way back into a safe position though.
Silmu not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Silmu is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Velazquez has his hands clasped together but Silmu extends an breaks Velazquez's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Silmu.
