The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice takedown defense from Laguna. No joy for Downtime on that attempt.
Downtime shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Laguna as he jumps to the side.
Downtime takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Marty Laguna seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Downtime on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Downtime dives in and grabs Laguna's left leg, looking for a takedown. Laguna pushes down on Downtime's head and hops out.

Oh Downtime is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Downtime shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Laguna but Laguna pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Downtime takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Downtime uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Laguna.

Laguna lands a left and a right that send Downtime crashing to the mat, dazed. Laguna thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Downtime walks into a left hand.
This entire fight has taken place on the feet so far and you wonder whether Downtime might be better served trying to take this one to the ground because he's losing the standup battle so far.
This has been an exciting period of action!

This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Downtime. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
