Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Don Mingle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Turk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mingle comes to the cage accompanied by SOS. Don Mingle has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Don Mingle!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Chris Turk!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Alec Ball and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mingle tries to clinch but Turk moves out of range.
Mingle will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Turk stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Turk wants it to stay on the feet.
Mingle tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Turk counters with a leg kick.
Mingle avoids a punch combination nicely.
Turk gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Mingle shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Turk as he avoids it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Don Mingle. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Mingle looks to score with a jab to the body but Turk is just out of range.
Turk has Mingle up against the cage in a clinch.

Turk has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Mingle avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Turk has clasped his hands together around Mingle's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.

Mingle knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Turk on the ground.

Turk cracks Mingle with a big right hand but Mingle just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

Mingle is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
Turk is staying tight to Mingle's torso, preventing him from escaping.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Let's hope that Turk has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Mingle takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.

Turk working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
