Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Maya Richer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Corey Poyer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Richer's entrance music is the duck song 3. A fine choice. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Alec Ball and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Poyer closes the distance and clinches up with Richer, looking for a takedown. Poyer pushes Richer against the cage but Richer circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Poyer shoots in and drives through. Richer sprawls well.
Richer is trying hard to land a takedown here. Poyer sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Poyer shoots in for a double leg but Richer sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Richer throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Poyer tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Richer is in Poyer's guard.

Richer's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Maya Richer.
I think Richer has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
