The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tepes throws a hook to the side of Destruction's head but Destruction sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Destruction thows a body shot but no joy.
Tepes has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Tepes there as he acknowledges the shot.

Tepes dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Destruction. That did some damage!

Tepes fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Destruction has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Destruction ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Destruction shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Shawn Destruction seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Tepes takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.

It looks like Shawn Destruction has been cut.

Destruction's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
Tepes digs a good body shot into Destruction's ribs.

Destruction on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Tepes connects with a good right hand that stumbles Destruction. Destruction circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

Tepes throws a nice looking combination but Destruction bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Tepes lands a left and a right that send Destruction crashing to the mat, dazed. Tepes thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Destruction seems to have recovered his senses.
Tepes lands a nice looking body shot.

Both these guys seem content to just stand up and trade with eachother but Destruction might want to think about changing up his gameplan a bit because over the course of the fight, Tepes has got the better of the exchanges.

Tepes moves into range and clinches up with Destruction.
Tepes with the Thai clinch, moves his hips back and unleashes a brutal knee to the head! Destruction drops to the mat in a crumpled heap! Huuuuuuge knee there! WOW!
