The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Karelin has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Silva, right into the meat.
Silva lands a two punch combo.
Silva misses with the combination.
Silva lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Silva.

Karelin shoots in and bounces Silva off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Karelin's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

Silva is rocked!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Silva wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Karelin manages to pass to side control.
Oh Silva is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Karelin lands a massive shot from half guard that has rocked Silva! More strikes land and this one is all over! Karelin jumps to his feet and is applauded loudly by the crowd!
