Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Drew Step (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gavin Gagnon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gagnon is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Sexy Back by Justin Timberlake. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Step shoots in and gets a takedown into Gagnon's guard.
Step wants to stand but Gagnon has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Gagnon wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Step wanted to stand there but Gagnon had control of the position.
Step has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Gagnon pulls Step in close to his closed guard and prevents Step from doing any damage or advancing position.
Gagnon has a closed guard, preventing Step from standing up.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Oooh a lovely combination from Gagnon sends Step down but not out. Gagnon dives into side control looking to finish.

Step is rocked!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Gagnon has an Americana. Step didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Gagnon is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Gagnon hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
