Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Chris Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Huan Mexican (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chris Jones looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chris Jones!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Huan Mexican!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Wesley Smith and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones keeps the fight on the outside.
Jones looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Mexican shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Jones defends it nicely.
Jones tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Mexican manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Jones is looking to clinch.
Mexican slaps away a takedown attempt from Jones, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Mexican shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Jones on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Jones tries to get out of the position.
Jones is squirming around, avoiding Mexican's attempts to control the action.
Mexican might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Jones kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Jones might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Mexican takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Jones is squirming around, avoiding Mexican's attempts to control the action.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Mexican is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Huan Mexican hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Mexican shoots in and drives through. Jones sprawls well.
A head kick misses from Jones.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Jones is defended easily by Mexican.
Mexican misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Chris Jones has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Huan Mexican.

Mexican fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Jones, pushing him back against the cage.

Jones wants to clinch up but Mexican keeps it at a distance.
Jones moves in looking to clinch but Mexican pushes him off.
Jones misses with a head kick.
Jones on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Mexican shoots in but no luck this time.
A bone on bone clash there as Jones blocks the leg kick.
Jones throws a head kick but Mexican moves out of range.
Jones tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.

Mexican closes the distance and pushes Jones back into the cage.

Mexican digs a good hook to Jones's body.
Mexican looks for a takedown but Jones sprawls well.

Mexican shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Jones keeping moving, preventing Mexican from controlling successfully.

Mexican stands up from guard. Let's bang!

Mexican has closed the distance and engaged Jones in a clinch.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Jones tries to close the distance and clinch but Mexican swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Mexican shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Jones as he jumps to the side.

Mexican shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Mexican was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Jones is really trying hard to get back to his feet.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Mexican content just to control the position here.

Mexican is trying hard to land a takedown here. Jones sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Chris Jones has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Huan Mexican.

Mexican misses with a series of wild punches.
Mexican shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Jones as he jumps to the side.

Jones trying to hold on to Mexican's head to control him but Mexican postures up.
Jones tries to kick Mexican off in order to stand up. Mexican Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.
Jones is looking for a sweep.
Jones looks to move to half guard but instead Mexican has passed into mount! Damn!

Mexican looking to control but Jones is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Jones is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Jones looking to escape from mount but he's given up his back!
Jones is keeping busy.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Mexican really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Jones.

Huan Mexican showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Huan Mexican wasn't active enough on the ground.

Jones gets caught napping as Mexican dives in and scores a takedown. Jones manages to retain guard.
Huan Mexican is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Mexican has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Jones is proving hard to escape from.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Jones wants to get back to his feet but Mexican passes into half guard.

Huan Mexican comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Mexican has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
