The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Clarke connects with a single shot there.
Clarke tries to bum rush Schmidt with a series of wild strikes but Schmidt uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Kendall Clarke seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Clarke lunges at Schmidt with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Schmidt's hand.

It looks like Andreas Schmidt has been cut.

Clarke drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
