The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Billet throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Silva throws a series of punches but Billet moves out of range.
Billet lands a glancing blow to the side of Silva's head.

Good leg kick by Billet there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Silva throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Billet wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Silva is sitting in close to Billet's body. Billet has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Silva is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Silva is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Billet.
