Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Vladimir Nakamura (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lucas Dy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vladimir Nakamura has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Vladimir Nakamura!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Lucas Dy!
The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Arvi Lind and Anni Minnemäki.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Dy drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Dy misses with the ground and pound.
Dy scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Nakamura to see if he's OK.
Nakamura on the wrong end of some ground and pound.
Nakamura tries to buck Dy off but Dy is having none of it.
Dy trying to control the action but Nakamura is working from the bottom.
Nakamura gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!
Dy tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Nakamura tries to reverse the position but Dy maintains control.
Dy connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Nakamura regains half guard.
Dy passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Nakamura!

Dy working for a guillotine from mount but Nakamura is in no mood to give up.
Nakamura is desperately trying to improve his position but Dy has a good base and remains in mount.
Nakamura tries to improve his position but instead Dy has taken his back!

Dy is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Nakamura knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Nakamura for a finish.
Nakamura prevents Dy from getting a body triangle.
Dy is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
You can see the frustration on Nakamura's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
Dy has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Dy controlling from the back.
Dy tries to get the hooks in deep but Nakamura pushed the leg off.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Dy doesn't have the hooks in and Nakamura manages to turn into his guard.
Dy looking to hit a scissor sweep but Nakamura is one step ahead there.

Dy has his foot on Nakamura's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Nakamura works his way back into a safe position though.
Nakamura has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Nakamura postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Nakamura has gone for a leg lock! Dy slips out almost immediately though and dives into Nakamura's guard.
Dy is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Dy tries to free his leg and advance position but Nakamura is retaining full guard.
Dy wants to control from the top but Nakamura keeps moving.

Nakamura is looking for a triangle but Dy pushes his legs off easily.
Dy pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Nakamura is keeping the position for now.

Dy got a little sloppy there for a moment and Nakamura has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Dy has managed to get both his arms back between Nakamura's legs - danger averted.

Dy is pushing down on Nakamura's leg trying to pass to half guard. Nakamura is fighting to maintain full guard but Dy has managed to sneak the leg through.

Nakamura is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Dy's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Dy's back!

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Dy tries to bench press Nakamura off him but Nakamura keeps the position.

You can see the frustration on Dy's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Dy is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Nakamura off and has taken his back!

I really don't envy Nakamura right now.

Nakamura is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

Dy looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Nakamura pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Nakamura lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Nakamura.

Nakamura might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Nakamura is desperately trying to improve his position but Dy has a good base and remains in mount.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Dy trying to control but he's not successful this time.
BOOM! Dy connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Nakamura is bucking up trying to escape but Dy cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Dy wants to control the pace but Nakamura is squirming around nicely.

Nakamura is looking to get to half guard.
Dy is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Nakamura can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
